Introducing.....CATSTER
This is Catster..incase you hadn't already noticed, Catster is a cat. She is wise and is going to be offering you her words of wisdom when it comes to helping innocent animals like herself. She also wishes to share her nine lifes with you and wants you to be able to able to help, by providing you with the correct information.
Cats are used for the fashion industry every day, with millions of cats being killed every year and sold to the fashion market, through misleading information and labelling.
Introducing.....Coony
This is Coony, Conny incase you havent already noticed is a racoon. He's here to give us an insight into the world of debate and politics surronding the issues of fur and skins being used for the fashion industry. This is because Coony is grey and his tail is black and white, meaning he gives us an equal and honest opinion about whatever it is being talked about.
Racoons are used for the fashion industry for their fur. Raccoons can be recognized by their beautiful eyes, which are outlined by a black mask of fur. They have thick, fuzzy brown-gray fur, and highly sensitive ears tufted with white fur. Those who live in humid, dense forests have darker fur than those in arid climates, where raccoon fur is a lighter, reddish color. Their bushy tails keep them balanced and stores fat during winter months, while their front limbs provide them with great manual dexterity.
Raccoons' lives are often cut short by cruel humans who covet their fur. Like foxes, raccoons are hunted by starved dogs and often suffer in steel-jaw traps, where they endure hours of agony before they are killed—or chew an arm or leg off in an effort to escape.

Introducing Foxy
Foxy is Fureals Fashion guru, taking us through whats hot and whats not on the high street. Foxy is as you've probably worked out.....a fox. Foxes are used for the fashion industry for their fur, here's a little information of our beloved Foxes.
Foxes are intelligent nocturnal animals who rely on their big bushy tails to spread scent in order to communicate. Foxes usually survive by eating fruit, berries, roots, carrion, rats, and slugs. Foxes play an important ecological role, as they "clean" the environment, and their survival often depends upon the amount of available food in their territories. They bury food and have a very good sense of hearing, picking up sounds of small animals in the grass, underground, or under the snow. They have a keen sense of smell and will hunt from dusk to dawn.....or that's how they should be, fur farms are killing innocent animals such as Foxes in order to supply the Fashion Industry with Fur. Show your support by becoming Fureal and spreading the word in order to help end this trade and save innocent animals such as Foxy.

The Skin Trade Movie (2007)
The skin trade movie was made to show people what the fashion and fur trade didn't want you to see. This interesting way of approaching the issue allows us to take a glimpse into the fur trade and also to hear from designers and many other people involved in some way with the fur trade, whether this be for or against it. I have posted this video up so you can begin to get an idea of what is actually happening and the reasoning for 'Fureal' Magazine.
This is not for the faint hearted but this is a reality, so should therefore be addressed.

Welcome
Hi Guys, thanks for visiting the Fureal blog page. This page has been created to basically allow me to interact with you, get your thoughts and ideas to help spread the word and make everyone Fureal. Fureal magazine is about informing people about the horrors animals have to suffer for the fashion industry. The magazine is available to view online and also looks into cosmetics and food. Everything seen in the magazine is animal friendly, and all the products, clothes and food featured has not come at the expense of an animal. Hope everyone joins me in trying to end this horrible way of treating our beloved animals and lets be fureal.
